Michael Claire Towns age 70, was born in Eaton Rapids, Michigan on December 9, 1950 and died on May 21, 2021 in Woodstock, Georgia at the Woodstock Nursing and Rehabilitation Center where he resided following a myocardial infarction and double pneumonia.

Michael was a graduate of Michigan State University. He worked in Michigan as a veterinary technician until moving to Arkansas where he began a lifelong cattle managing business. He settled in Jasper, Georgia with his wild and crazy wife, Kathleen Simon Towns. They were a great team for twelve years until his death.

He is survived by his wife; mother Anne Towns Cantine; sister Ava Towns; brother Mitchell Towns; son Dr. Chad Towns; daughter Kittie Towns; stepson Aaron Cone and four Grandchildren: Sarah Palmer, Michael Alex Palmer, Vaughn A. Cone and Remi L. Cone. He truly loved spending time with his grandchildren and delighted in their accomplishments.

Mike was a quiet man that made friends wherever he went. He was known by all to be a hard worker, willing to help anyone that asked. One of his famous habits was his ability to problem solve and, in that process, tell others how wrong they were if they didn't want to do it his way! He will be missed by all who knew him.

Care and trust placed in In Their Honor of Jasper Funerals and Cremations, 481 Noah Drive, Jasper, Georgia 30143 706-253-5060
