Donald S. “Cody” Coats Jr.
Springport Township formerly of Eaton Rapids

Age 62, died unexpectedly at his residence on Thursday, August 29, 2013. Born in Albion, MI to Donald S. “Jack” and Irene (Martis) Coats Sr. Don spent most of his life growing up in Eaton Rapids. He had worked in the fabricating industry in the Eaton Rapids area with his last job at the Eaton Stamping Company in Eaton Rapids. Cody was a founding member of the Saddle Tramps Motorcycle Club and a Life member of the Family Motorcycle Club. He has always enjoyed fast cars, loud motorcycles and beautiful women. Over the past few years his health had diminished greatly. He was proceeded in death by his parents; and a nephew, Daniel Coats Jr.
Surviving are a sister, Diana Wait and a brother, Daniel Coats both of Eaton Rapids; nephew. Nick Wait of Eaton Rapids; and great niece, Averie Wait and great nephew, Bradly Wait; aunts and uncle and numerous cousins.
A graveside memorial service is planned for Friday, September 6th at a time to be determined at the Clarence Cemetery in Clarence Township with the Rev. John Stewart, officiating. The family is being served by the Skinner Funeral Home in Eaton Rapids.
