Ron Clone,  Racine, WI,

Ron Clone, 67, of Racine, WI, passed away while in hospice care in Pleasant Prairie, WI on November 15, 2018, with his significant other Christine at his side. Formerly of Elk Rapids, MI and born in Eaton Rapids, MI, Ron was a hard-working, dedicated father, brother, grandfather, friend, and overall, an educator. He had successful, clear ideas of what being a teacher and coach meant, which positively defined him in so many ways. Born to Kenneth and Norine Clone in January of 1951, Ron grew up in a family of 10 children on a farm in Eaton Rapids, where he learned to work smarter not harder, and stuck with that philosophy for 43 years as a teacher and coach. He completed a graduate degree in Education from Michigan State University (go green!), then married and settled in Elk Rapids, MI where raised a family of 3 children with then wife Penny. His children Megan, Sara, and Ryan were the prides in his daily grind, and he walked alongside them during the school years, teaching their friends and coaching them on teams. He was there for it all, and it's what he did best. He retired from teaching three years ago in Wisconsin, and while we celebrated that accomplishment, he couldn't help but get on the "sub list" for various elementary schools, always eager to educate one more potential prodigy. His wisdom had no boundaries, and if you got to call Mr. Clone your teacher, it was a pretty special honor. He will always be remembered with a smile and a sweet story of how he influenced us all. Rest in forever peace, dad. We love you.

Visitation will take place at the Mills Funeral Home, Shelly-Odell Chapel, 518 S. Main St Eaton Rapids, MI on Thursday December 13, 2018 from 4-6 pm.
